Our antimicrobial coating offers low friction combined with superb chemical and abrasion resistance. We launched Fluregiene 200™ back in February 2022, this antimicrobial coating is both flexible and formable and offers outstanding wear resistance properties.
–Low COF Surface coating (0.08 – 0.2 static)
–Corrosion resistance
–Excellent chemical resistance
–Excellent chip and abrasion resistance
–Reduces and prevents build up of contaminates
–Excellent flexibilty
–Dirt and debris less likely to attach to the surface
–Using BioCote® antimicrobial technology
–Inhibits and reduces microbial growth on protected coating
–Provides continual microbial reduction on coating
–High PTFE content allows easy wipe down and cleaning
–Provides more hygienic and cleanable surface than brushed or finished steel
The image of the surface below shows a typical brushed stainless steel or aluminium surface which would be found on components such as hand rails and door handles.
Although hard and smooth to the touch this type of surface has a wealth of micro valleys and surface characteristics that will helpharbour and collect undesirable contaminates.
Surface has a negative Ssk(skew) meaning more valleys than peaks!
The Image here shows a surface coated with Fluregiene 200â„¢. The surface has as a completely different profile when coated and now has a positively skewed surface indicating that there are less valleys and micro pits in the surface, highlighting the effectiveness of this antimicrobial coating.
The PTFE content within Fluregiene 200â„¢ also provides anti stickproperties and an easy clean surface, to make this antimicrobial coating not only resistant to bacteria but also simple to keep clean and debris free.
The surface has a positive Ssk (skew) meaning more peaks than valleys!
This fluoropolymer antimicrobial coating can be applied within a vast range of different industries to help you, your employees and clients stay safe from microbes and bacteria. It can be used on most surfaces which users touch such as, handles, stainless steel worktops and surgical tool handles, public transport handrails and buttons, public seating armrests and much, much more.
